Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin is one of Poland’s largest academic centres.

Maria Curie-Skłodowska University actively cooperates with the business sector through numerous R&D projects and consortia as well as the ongoing fostering of its academic and research profile.

Within the university structures, the Centre for Transfer of Knowledge and Technology is responsible for supporting scientific research and dissemination of its results. It fosters practical implementation of research and connects researchers with business enterprises. Its duties include development of links between the university and the region, coordination of outsourced research, protection of intellectual property, and commercialization and research of research. The Centre also initiates research-and-development projects connecting the university with external actors and assists business enterprises in the implementation of research, contributing to their market competitiveness.

The main areas of the activities for the Centre for Transfer of Knowledge and Technology include, but are not limited to:

  • industrial implementation of technologies developed at the University
  • research-and-development projects involving academy and business
  • expert opinions concerning technological innovativeness
